...Is the mug too much?

Based on a true story.

My dad used to be way into Boy Scouting, and years ago he was headed out the door to a meeting dressed just like this - campaign hat, full uniform (including shorts and knee socks), every button and ribbon he's ever earned... and a largish stuffed fox tucked under his arm (which was dressed in its own miniature Scout uniform).

He turned to my mother, and with no sense of irony, asked: Do you think the mug is too much?
